He attended Copiah Lincoln Community College and then Williams Carey University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. Our Pastor went on to complete his Master of Divinity in Church Ministry at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he graduated in 2007.
Bro. David and Salena have served Temple as pastor and wife since January 1, 2002. Having been married for 34 years, they have two sons, Kyle and his wife Sarah, with their 2 granddaughters, Avyn and Ayla, Kris and his wife Brittini and one daughter Kaci and her husband Jim. The Williams’ all love pets that are a huge part of their lives.
Our pastor’s hobbies are camping, hunting, traveling and being on the farm when he can. He is driven by ministry for all people. He has been taught and can honestly teach others, “You are never more like Jesus, than when you are giving.” His life verse is Isaiah 40:31.
God has blessed them greatly in business and ministry. He believes there is no greater calling of God than to serve Him by serving others in all endeavors. He has been on mission at home, in Alaska, Iowa, Georgia, Montana, Kentucky, Canada, Thailand and in Africa. Overall, our pastor is driven by his call to ministry and missions and opportunities to serve God.

Minister Assistant April Church

Hello, I’m April Church and I’m the Minister Assistant at Temple Baptist Church. I was born in Cleveland, TN but raised in Pascagoula, MS. Coming from a broken home and a long history of drugs and alcohol abuse, I spent most of my life lost, scared and alone. When I was 16 years old, I gave birth to my first child. When I was 19 years old, I gave birth to my second child. By the time I was 21 years old, I was an alcoholic mother of two, unsure of my future. But......
Hallelujah, Praise God!” On August 3, 2003, I met the man that would change my life forever. Due to His mercy and grace, I will never again be alone or worry about
my future because Jesus Christ Is My Savior! Since then, it has been a privilege to be an instrument of the Lord, serving other believers by helping them know and understand that God that loves them so much. I have traveled the world sharing God’s word with women of all nationalities, races, and religions and I still stand amazed at the Power of the Holy Spirit within women.
I am blessed, through the power of God to be free from drugs and alcohol. I have a wonderful, loving husband named Brian, four beautiful children, Dylan, Jade, Drevon & Trey, five loving dogs and I am no longer scared or afraid, for God says in Hebrews 13:5 “Never will I leave thee, nor forsake thee."
                              Your Sister In Christ,
                            April S. Church
