...A Passion for Christ, A Purpose for People, And A Priority of Love and Unity

All Christians are called and equipped to be involved in the work of the ministry for the building up of Christ's church. There is always plenty of work to be done, from evangelizing to cleaning bathrooms, and no work should be beneath us.
Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. Everyone should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 2:3-5 HCSB
Give of your time, gifts, and talents...
  • Talents are God-given, regardless of one's beliefs, and may be used for ministry.
  • Spiritual gifts are abilities given to believers by the Holy Spirit to be used specifically for ministry. Like talents, these gifts develop and become more effective with use. Click here for help identifying your spiritual gifts.
  • Some ministry work requires no special talent or gift, only a servants heart. All God needs from us is submission and availability.
Inquire of the church leadership about the following and other jobs that may be open and how they may or may not be suited for you:
  • Prayer Warrior - Prayer warriors put a special emphasis on prayer. They pray continually and effectively for others in the manner taught in Scripture. Our church and all of it's work must be covered in prayer.
  • Outreach - Join the Seamans Center team, the Our Daily Bread team, or the Men's Victor's House Bible Study and Prayer Group. Help out with skate night or special events such as the Easter Egg Hunt or VBS. Work with Celebrate Recovery or an evangelism group. Go on a mission trip.
  • Disciple - Be a mentor. We all need a "Paul" (someone to learn from) and a "Timothy" (someone to teach) in our lives.
  • Sunday Morning Bible Study Teacher - Allow us to start a new class.
  • Children's Ministry - Join the rotation for Kidz Worship or assist with Wednesday night's TeamKID, VBS, fund raisers, fellowships, or events.
  • Youth Ministry - Assist with Wednesday nights, fund raisers, fellowships, or events.
  • Nursery - Join the rotation for Sunday or Wednesday.
  • Kitchen - Help set up and take down tables and chairs, with Sunday breakfasts or special events such as revival meals.
  • Maintenance - Be available to make needed repairs.
  • Usher - Collect the offering.
  • Sound Tech - Assist the Music Minister with monitor displays and sound quality.
  • Security - Monitor the facility and parking lot.
  • Transportation - Join the rotation of van driving. Help maintain the vans.
  • Staff Aide - Ask if there is work they can delegate. Encourage them. Build them up.
  • Greeter - Greet people with a smile and a handshake as they arrive. Answer questions, hand out worship guides, and assist those with special needs.
